London Fashion Week Spring 2010 Roundup

*Long post ahead*

So, London Fashion Week has just ended. Here are some of the collections I like/kinda like/not feeling (I didn't go through all LFW collections though):

Sass & Bide Spring 2010 London Fashion Week @ Street Stylista
Sass & Bide Spring 2010 (Details) London Fashion Week @ Street Stylista

Sass & Bide has to be one of my favourite collections for Spring 2010 so far. I love the combination of the hard and soft elements, the structured metal pieces forming patterns on soft, flowy fabrics bringing out feminitiy with an edge. Especially love the metal ring dress and metal-esque leggings. And those shoes! Fab Fab Fab!

Burberry Prorsum Spring 2010 London Fashion Week @ Street Stylista

And of course, I love the shinest silver paillette-encrusted coat at Burberry. Haha. The close-up shot is way more breathtaking. Love the knotted draping technique used on almost every possible piece of clothing. Dresses, skirts, jackets, trenchcoats and even pants! Pretty cool stuff.

Basso & Brooke Spring 2010 London Fashion Week @ Street Stylista

Prints and colours, I love love love! Once again, amazing digital prints from Basso & Brooke.

Josh Goot Spring 2010 London Fashion Week @ Street Stylista

This is the first time I've heard of Australian designer Josh Goot and he's got this whole colours+prints thing going on as well so what do you think? I like it. Nothing exciting silhoutte-wise but his graphic prints (check out those 3D looking prints) are pretty interesting no?

Matthew Williamson Spring 2010 London Fashion Week @ Street Stylista

Love the detailing (triangular metal plates, cut-out sequinned dress, 3D sequinned flowers on dresses & sleeves, ruching, just to name a few) and the futuristic necklaces.

Luella Spring 2010 London Fashion Week @ Street Stylista

Cute dresses here. Even Alexa Chung is a fan. This whole big bow trend, however, not really feeling much for it. Been seeing too much of that plus the lace rabbit ears lately.

Christopher Kane Spring 2010 London Fashion Week @ Street Stylista

I know many bloggers have been raving about this collection alot. Could it be the effect of the immense popularity of his recent capsule collection for Topshop (coming soon to Singapore btw)? I really liked Christopher Kane's Resort Collection earlier on but this one, I'm not really feeling entirely. The thigh high slits on not one but both sides? Don't know about that. I much prefer the dresses without the slits like the one in the middle. Not a fan of gingham as well, guess the things I did like were the pleated chiffon and bustier detail on the dresses.

Phew, that was a long one. Eagerly awaiting what Milan & Paris has to offer.
